Law Enforcement

168. Police, Firefighters, and Other First Responders Appreciation

We support proper funding for robust training programs that provide first responders with intensive and comprehensive physical and academic training in the classroom and on the ground. We ask that the Texas Legislature properly fund preventative and responsive mental health care for the same. We recommend the Legislature increase funding for the Texas Rural Volunteer Fire Department Assistance Program.
