Unfunded Mandates

Unfunded mandates are unacceptable. The State of Texas must fully fund at a minimum the following additional costs to local governments: a. Indigent criminal defense. b. Inmate healthcare in jails. c. Indigent burials and autopsies. d. Veteran services offices.
